Hewitt Engineering prepared plans and specifications and provided Construction Phase Services for the extension of the City of Kerrville River Trail project.  This contract consisted of the construction of approximately 3,200 linear feet of 10-foot wide concrete trail along the Guadalupe River, 2,200 linear feet of 8-foot wide concrete trail, one new trailhead, water and electrical service and associated limestone block retaining walls, grading and drainage improvements for the City of Kerrville.  The construction for this project extends from the existing G Street Trailhead, across the Guadalupe River, southeast along the river, under SH 27 (Memorial Boulevard) and then northwest to the new Schreiner University trailhead.  The project included a trail crossing over Quinlan Creek consisting of concrete headwalls and wingwalls, erosion control, and box culverts.
