The UGRA has constructed seven Water and Sediment Control Basins throughout Kerr County over the past seven years. The intent of these projects is to limit or greatly reduce sediment runoff into the North Fork and South Fork of the Guadalupe River, Johnson Creek and contributing tributaries while recharging the aquifer. The scope of work for these projects has included site evaluations to identify and evaluate the site criteria in order to recommend the best site for achieving sediment and erosion control, preparation of a hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis in order to determine the most cost-effective location for the proposed project, preparation of construction plans and specifications, and construction observation.
